The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) and the COEX Convention and Exhibition Center of Korea will run the largest exhibition center in Vietnam.
On March 8th 2021, KITA and COEX signed with Vietnam Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (BECAMEX) on the management of the largest trade center in Vietnam located in Binh Duong New City (World Trade Center Binh Duong). However, KITA does not provide any financial terms of the contract.
This exhibition center is the largest in Vietnam, with a total floor area of 22,000m2, of which 11,679m2 are indoor exhibition space and 7,935m2 of outdoor exhibition space.
Binh Duong province, located in the Southern key economic region, about 25 km from the center of Ho Chi Minh city which the new Ring Road will help commune fast to the Province, is currently the largest industrial city in Vietnam.

Binh Duong New City World Trade Center will play an important role as an important infrastructure connecting business, culture and tourism between Korea and Vietnam.
KITA affirmed that the participation in the operation of the new conference center of Vietnam will help Korea penetrate deeper into the Southeast Asian market.
The Role Of COEX Korea Convention And Exhibition Center
COEX will send management specialists with a lot of knowledge and practical experience in fields such as organizing exhibitions and operating infrastructure to Vietnam. These specialists will be in general management from planning the overall operation to the strategy of promoting the exhibition center.
Over the next 3 years, KITA and COEX would enhance the competitiveness of this venue, such as expanding exhibition content, organizing “hybrid” exhibitions in combination with online technologies.
Meaning of COEX Effort to MICE
Yonhap news agency said, this effort is in line with KITA’s strategy to penetrate deeper into the global meeting, conference and exhibition (MICE) industry.
The representatives of KITA and COEX emphasized: “The MICE industry of Korea is facing a great challenge due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, this project will help us in post-Covid-19 recovery.”
